Youth Group

Welcome to the Ben David Youth Ministry! Our desire is to see the next generation ready to be passionate worshipers of Messiah Yeshua. We want to see the youth also have a sense of identity, grounded in who they are and the heritage that has been passed down for centuries. Our true heart is for young people to encounter God. This takes place in the context of gathering together weekly and building community with one another as we seek God.

In addition to our weekly services, we try to gather together on a monthly basis for some time of fellowship and fun. This has been anything from renting out an ice rink and playing broomball to fun movie nights, all designed to build relationships with one another. Lately, we visited our local Boomers family fun center, enjoying go-kart racing and rock climbing.

Here is a little video we put together for the Jewish Holiday of Purim, which commemorates the deliverence of the Jewish people in the ancient Persian empire during which a plot was formed to destroy them. One of the primarly lessons we receive from this story, found in the book of Esther, is that God is always in control.

The title of the book, in Hebrew, comes from the fourth word from its opening phrase, "Vaidaber YHVH el-Moshe bamidbar" (And Yehovah spoke to Moshe in the wilderness). Bamidbar, the wilderness, designates the place of the varied happenings in the book. The current English title, “Numbers,” is derived from the Septuagint - the Greek translation done before the Common Era - and was named as such based on the numerous censuses of the Israelites...
